Happy Mother’s Day from the Scotch® Brand Team… xox

TIME NEEDED: Approximately 45 minutes

Scotch® Brand Supplies:

1200x1200_MothersDayBouquet_Step1Plan and prep. Choose your colour scheme and your product. If you would like to replicate the design we have featured in this project, simply refer to list above. This tutorial will assume you’ve selected these items.
1200x1200_MothersDayBouquet_Step2Petal creation. To create the petals for your flowers, cut the cardstock into three circles, each one a little smaller than the last. They don’t need to be perfect, and the wavy, imperfect circles make a better flower.

Petal colour. Cover the largest circle with your choice of tape, and trim with a utility knife to get a clean edge. Cover the largest petal, front and back, in the same way. Continue to cover the other circles with the coordinating patterns as desired.

1200x1200_MothersDayBouquet_Step3Stacking. Stack the covered circles on top of one another. Be sure to use the utility knife to twist a hole through all three circles in the centre of the flower. Push the Brad Pin through the hole you created. This will hold your flower petals together.

1200x1200_MothersDayBouquet_Step4Connecting. Use your utility knife to cut a slit through both sides of your paper straw, as this will allow the brad to go through the straw. Fold the ends of the brad to secure the petals to the straw.

Leaf creation. Using cardstock, cut a basic leaf shape and cover Scotch® Expressions Washi Tape, Green/White Swiss Dot. Use your utility knife to trim the edges. Be sure to cover both sides of your leaves in the same way. With the utility knife, cut a small slit in the side of the paper straw. Insert your leaf into the slit.
