Beautifully Organized

Sometimes, home offices, office cubicles and student residence rooms can be dull, and can use some help to make them appear more colourful, stylish and customized.

With this in mind, we’ve created a super easy project this week which helps you take the ‘dull’ or ordinary and fancy it up to create something that’s nice to look at, yet equally as a functional.

Let us know if you like this idea, or have suggestions for more types of projects you’d like to see.

Plan and prep. Line up your supplies and plan which colours you would like to apply to which area of corkboard.

Corkboard_Step2

Frame it up. Grab your Scotch® Expressions Washi Tape in Pastel Blue to cover the frame of your corkboard. Trim the corners on a 45 degree angle with your sharp knife.

Corkboard_Step3

Cut. Now’s the fun part! Cut pieces of tape at varying lengths. Apply strips to the corkboard vertically and directly beside the next, while alternating colours. We have completed this with eight strips on one side. It’s important to know that there’s nothing measured here, so the more random your placement the more unique it will look. Replicate on the other side of the board to create balance.

And you’re finished! It’s a very simple way to take a plain corkboard and give it some pizzazz.
